Dear Randolphlee,
congratulations to a very professional and easy to navigate homepage.
Your work stands out in todays clutter of non-art. It demonstrates a great and versatile talent and the forms you are producing are very unique and interesting.
I would be interested to engage into a dialogue on your philosophy, which to me is not very clear. Starting with a very bold statement 'to change the direction of art' which is definitely needed and a very proper aim for an artist, you seem to be much clearer on what and who you are not than on whatand who you are.
You want to give art back 'its proper status in society'. What should be in your view the proper status of art in society?
You say you are inspired by renaissance, still showing people in cages and limited instead of free and limitless. Why?
You say you are not a realist but still claim truth and believability for your work? Isn't this an epistemological contradiction?
Short, what are the philosophical values that are driving you and your art?
Your ability in painting, drawing and sculpting is amazing. Still, most of your work touches primarily the aesthetic senses, but does not reach and lift the spirit and soul (your sculptures are in a way 'fuller of life' than your paintings and drawings).
This is clearly not an issue of ability and form but rather one of values and content.
You may chose to disregard this one voice among all the positive feedback you are rightfully getting.
I am still taking the chance because you have the ability to create for eternity and to really achieve your initially stated objective - to me it seems it's not your talent but the way you look at the world that keeps you from achieving this.
Sincerely,
Andreas

I am very impressed of your work. I wish, I would find more of this kind in Germany. I feel pretty isololated since I decided to give up a former career in marketing for painting. I hope, I will last out, though. Would you honor me and visit my homepage as well...?

I was impressed with your art and your resume. I am a contemporary figurative oil painter. I have exhibited in Sydney and Adelaide. My inspiration is colour and figures, I carn't get enough of it. Painting is a neccessity to my life. The focus, the intensity of applying the paint the pressure I put myself in when I paint, it is a addiction. I market myself, the last exhibition I had was during the Fringe Festival, Adelaides art festival. I did really well in the sence of the response and sold some works. I am taking a series over to Sydney in July, I would like to hear from you.

Very pleased to view your sculpture. Im a late bloomer(44) in entering sculpture field, totaly untrained, and on my own.Id like a mentor in the New York area, any ideas on this?Is it nesscessary for me obtain college level art instruction,or can I develope my work independantly as I d like to? Thanks for your response and added you to my favorties file. Also agreed with your art philosophy on bringing definition back to art,you said it much more complex, but I got the jest of it.One more question, are there art expo's for networking with the art world to bring artists and art explorers together? When or where is the next one?

Well, Mr. McIver, I am strongly surprised by your polyvalent art creativity. I am interested in geometrical art and was very glad to see in Painting Gal.One three pictures: "Pyramide", "Girl with Long Hair" and "Double Strep". Thing that drew my attantion was a perfect sollution for background with geometrical shapes which gave 3-d illusion. In foreground can be any motif - that's not problem. Clearer picture was "Girl with Long Hare", but heavier was surely "Double Strep".
My name is Marijan and come from Croatia. I am 36 and being with art since I was 8. I am comming from an area where we already have world-famous naive-art (painting on the opposite site of glass) and for me was prety hard not to inclinate to that way of painting. So 11 years ago I finaly choosed geometriacal abstractions (without any figurations by now) as my own art-expression.
In your art I saw one kind of my
next-step-in-experimentations and I am very glad about.
If you please, visite my site at:
http://www.geocities.com/gal_art_2000/
I think you'll like it.
